Talons Challenge 2026 - Master of the Mountain
Talons Challenge is designed to push your limits, learn about the expert terrain at Beaver Creek and have a great time with friends and family. You can compete against local legends, your peers, or yourself if that’s more your style.
NEW for 2026:
Talons Challenge has new technology to track your run completion. You will be sent an email with directions to get started. It is a "set it and forget it" system that will track via GPS.
You can roll solo, or create a team this year! In the app you will have the option join or create a team. Make your team private if it is a family adventure, or open up a public team where folks can join without a passcode.
There will be prizes for team themes, costumes, and more.

1. In the week prior to the Talons Challenge, look for an email from Terrain Scouts with instructions on how to create your account and update your password. Each participant will need to have their own unique account, which will be connected to the Terrain Scouts app.
2. Download the Terrain Scouts app and log in using your Terrain Scouts username and new password.
3. Utilize the Terrain Scouts app for the recording of your runs. Activities recorded on any other device or app will not upload for the Talons Challenge.
4. Start recording on the app prior to loading onto your first chair. At the end of your time on the slopes, be sure to Stop and Save your activity!
Pro Tip - Keeping your phone warm will help with battery longevity. If necessary, bring a battery backup and charging cord, or charging stations will be located in Talons Restaurant.
